COURSE AIM
The students will be required to explain and reflect on how social conditions and cultural patterns form the basis of educational processes and systems. The students must also account for a few scientific approaches and be able to apply basic scientific methodology.


CONTENTS
Module 1: Education and learning, 5 credits
This aspect of the course treats basic educational outlooks, teaching and different conditions for personal development and learning.

Module 2: Education in a changing society, 5 credits
The students will be able to determine the orientation of this aspect of the course by choosing among a number of possible fields, such as:
Education and working life
The educational conditions and consequences of multi-culture
Leadership and learning organizations
Gender perspectives on education and in-service training


TEACHING
The teaching will take the form of lectures, seminars, group practice and supervision.


EXAMINATION
Written and oral examination, individually and in groups, within the framework of the teaching.

Moment 2: Pedagogik i ett föränderligt samhälle
Litteratur c:a 800 sid väljs i samråd med undervisande lärare.
