TIMEPERIOD: Q1-Q2 LANGUAGE:Swedish EXAMINER PREREQUISITES Diploma in education or equivalent training. COURSE AIM The aims of the course are that students: - acquire basic knowledge of the functional disturbances autism, DAMP and dyslexia, and of the responsibility that society has for these groups of people - acquire knowledge of approaches and working methods, and of how the handicap effects the family CONTENTS - Special education. - Legislation, the Education Act, - Current policy and procedure guidelines/requirements for pre-school and school. - Autism, DAMP and dyslexia. - Approaches and working methods - To be the parent of a child in need of special support. TEACHING Lectures, literature seminars and an individual project. EXAMINATION Participation in literature seminars, evaluation of individual projects and of individual hand-in assignments.
