TIMEPERIOD: Q3-Q4. LANGUAGE:Swedish EXAMINER PREREQUISITES General admission requirements COURSE AIM The aims of the course are that students acquire knowledge of: - the significance of adult education and popular adult education to society and to the individual - current educational theories and schools of thought - adult education methodology Students are also to carry out and document development work in the field of adult education. CONTENTS ITEM 1. Educational theory, 3 credits An outline of history Different schools of thought in adult education and popular adult education Theories and methods for investigation in the student's own field of activity ITEM 2. Didactics, 4 credits Knowledge and learning Different educational models The educational process The teacher - the leader - the supervisor Ethics and questions of values ITEM 3. Development work, 3 credits Application of a process-oriented teaching approach in practical work linked to the student's own field of activity TEACHING The teaching will take the form of lectures, group work and/or individual work, seminars and classroom observations.
