TIMEPERIOD: Q1, Q2 LANGUAGE:Swedish EXAMINER PREREQUISITES Applicants must have completed the course PÄP062. COURSE AIM The aims of the course are that the students acquire - knowledge of how to create a learning environment for all pupils at school on basis of the policy and procedure guidelines/requirements for compulsory school - knowledge of children's development of reading skills and the relationship between spoken and written language - knowledge of the mathematical language and development of mathematical concepts The students are also to - develop a comprehensive view of school problems where causes and measures are viewed from different perspectives - work on their own attitudes and values concerning pupils in need of of remedial teaching CONTENTS Elementary knowledge of acquisition of reading and mathematical skills. Remedial teaching. Pupils in need of remedial teaching and society's responsibility in providing for these pupils' needs. International agreements. Ethical issues, secrecy. Attitudes, integration, action programmes, the computer as aid in learning. Bullying. TEACHING The course will be characterized by problem solving work procedures and by integration of theory and practice. EXAMINATION Evaluation of oral and written presentations of individual and group assignments and of a project with an interdisciplinary theme. COURSE GRADE SCALE: Fail, Pass. ITEMS/CREDITS | |
