PÄN408 Development, Body and Health I 30.0 ECTS credits | |
TIMEPERIOD: Q 2-4 LANGUAGE:Swedish EXAMINER PREREQUISITES Applicants must have completed the course PAN400. COURSE AIM The aims of the course are that students acquire knowledge of how social, psychological and biological factors influence the individual's development and health knowledge of how the individual can influence her quality of life and health biological and chemical knowledge of processes that form the basis of the origin, continuance and development of life knowledge of man and her development as a biological creature ability to reflect on their own and children's view on nature and its significance to the individual, society and the environment CONTENTS Item 1: Organic chemistry, biochemistry, cell biology, genetics, evolution, embryology, immunology. 7 credits Item 2: Anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, physiology, ergonomics, massage, development psychology - movement. 6,5 credits Item 3: The nervous system, the sense organs and their physics (acoustics and optics), ethology. 6,5 credits Item 4 and 5 are part of the course Development Body and Health II Item 4: Views on health, hygiene, food science and nutrition, Alcohol-narcotics-tobacco, sex instruction, remedial teaching, crisis theory Item 5: Sports medicine, CPR, ABC - first aid, pathology, stress, mental training, relaxation. 2 credits. TEACHING The teaching is carried out by a team of teachers and several teachers may be present during some items of the course. Problem-based learning is applied on some items (item 4) of the course. When this is the case, the students will be required to continually plan, implement and evaluate the aims and content of the course through own tuition of groups of pupils. The studies will consist of literature seminars comprehensive lectures serving to illuminate theoretical relations laboratory work and practical items The studies are based on IT. EXAMINATION Written, oral and practical exam, individually and in groups. Compulsory attendance applies to laboratory work, practical items, literature seminars and presentations.
