PÄN007 The Pre-School in Nature and Local Environment 22.5 ECTS credits | |
TIMEPERIOD: Q1, Q2 LANGUAGE:Swedish EXAMINER PREREQUISITES Applicants must have completed the courses KSP046 and PÄP044. COURSE AIM The aims of the course are that students acquire knowledge of: - the fundamentals of science and everyday technology - the nature and environment of the local community - man and the ecosystem - risk of infection, quality of life and health - educational planning based on children's world view CONTENTS Knowledge of species, biotope studies also in winter-time, environmental training, agriculture and forestry, gardening as a school subject, children's health. The shapes of matter. Experiments with air, water, electricity, magnetism and heat. Technical and constructional exercises. Chemical experiments, everyday chemistry and environmental chemistry. Children and traffic. Computers and society, multimedia. Planning and realization of nature studies in preschool. TEACHING Lectures, laboratory work and seminars. Study visits and practical exercises in Teknikens Hus (technical centre for children). Teaching practice in preschool. EXAMINATION Written and oral examination, individually and in group.
