TIMEPERIOD: Q1-4 LANGUAGE:Swedish EXAMINER PREREQUISITES General entrance requirements. Priority is given to applicants who have completed nursery and infant teacher, recreation instructor or teacher training. COURSE AIM The aims of the course are that students acquire knowledge of - the possibilities of outdoor life during the different seasons of the year - the possibilities of outdoor life in developing their own self-confidence and enriching their personal skills on basis of individual capacity. - the possibilities of using their deepened knowledge to develop outdoor lift in their professional activities and in their immediate surroundings; from a didactic perspective - the significance of outdoor life to all individuals regardless of age and gender, so that they can adapt their teaching in accordance with the directives in Lpo-94 and Lpfö-98 regarding outdoor life - how teaching can promote co-operation, trust and joy in outdoor life CONTENTS Outdoor life from a historical perspective. Outdoor life from a gender perspective. Outdoor activities in different seasons. Practical application of outdoor life on bare ground, ice, snow and water. Safety regulations and elements of risk. Training in CPR, life-saving and first aid. Outdoor methodology with an emphasis on varied work procedures, to reach as many as possible regardless of age and gender. Curriculum requirements on teaching in the field of outdoor life and the didactics of outdoor life. TEACHING Lectures, lessons, excursions. The teaching will be carried out in the immediate surroundings of the university, with the exception of a few aspects that will be carried of in the mountainside. The latter may involve extra costs for the students. EXAMINATION Practical/written examination assignment and written and oral examination, individually and in groups. COURSE GRADE SCALE: Fail, Pass.
