TIMEPERIOD: Q3-4 LANGUAGE:Swedish EXAMINER PREREQUISITES Applicants must have been admitted to or have completed nursery and infant teacher, recreation instructor or compulsory school teacher training. COURSE AIM The aims of the course are that students acquire - elementary knowledge of ceramic form and function - elementary knowledge of utilitarian as well as artistic methods and materials - ability to use ceramics in an educational context CONTENTS Ceramic visual thinking, realistic - suggestive form. History of ceramics. Tools, clays, glazing. Modelling, sculpting, thumbing, turning, rolling, firing, glazing. Multislide. Exhibition technique. Ceramics with children. TEACHING The teaching will be carried out in evenings and weekends, in practical and theoretical form. Ceramics with children and young people will be self-instructed. EXAMINATION Exhibition of individual and group work. Presentation of an accomplished ceramics project together with children. COURSE GRADE SCALE: Fail, Pass. ITEMS/CREDITS | |
