TIMEPERIOD: Q 3 LANGUAGE:Swedish EXAMINER PREREQUISITES Applicants must have completed the course LUA101. COURSE AIM The aims of the course are that students acquire - a comprehensive perspective of child development and learning - knowledge of the significance of play and creativity in learning - knowledge of how a child's social environment effects development CONTENTS The course studies theories of child development and learning and theories of the socialisation and social environment of children. Other subjects are observations, current research on learning, and the significance of play in development and learning. TEACHING The course is characterised by problem-based working methods and by integration of the different aspects of the course. EXAMINATION Written and oral examination, individually and in groups.
