LUA202 Theories and Methods of Science 7.5 ECTS credits | |
TIMEPERIOD: Q 2 and 4 LANGUAGE:Swedish EXAMINER PREREQUISITES Applicants must have completed the course LUA103. COURSE AIM The aims of the course are that the students acquire - knowledge of how science is formed and used in educational contexts - knowledge of the theory of science - knowledge of and skills in research methodology CONTENTS Theory of science Scientific methods, data acquisition, data analysis and presentation of results Planning, realization and reporting of individual in-depth studies focused on the teaching profession from a scientific perspective TEACHING The teaching will carried out in the form of lectures, seminars, group work and supervision. The tuition is meant to provide the students with support and structure to assimilate the content of the course. EXAMINATION Written and oral examination, individually and in groups.
