COURSE AIM - Through studies of interesting technical phenomena from different historical periods to create an understanding of how technical, economical, social and political changes work together. - To arouse an interest in the technical skills of earlier societies and also to inspire further studies in the subject. - To provide students with a basic understanding of how information- and communication technology and man interact. CONTENTS Item 1 History of Technology - Introduction and method. - Technical development during ancient and antique times. - Technical development during medieval times. - Technical development from the sixteenth century. - Technical development outside of the european areas
