TIMEPERIOD: Q 4 LANGUAGE:English/Swedish EXAMINER Erik Lovén Univ adj PREREQUISITES IEK309, Statistics AI, 15 credits or corresponding course. COURSE AIM ¥ to describe the quality concept, quality strategies and methods for total quality management in companies, organisations and in public administration; ¥ to illustrate quality programmes in different organisations. CONTENTS Values, methods, and techniques of TQM (Total Quality Management) are discussed. Furthermore, it is illustrated how different organisations, Swedish as well as foreign, work with quality improvements, for instance by studying different articles and working with case studies. TEACHING EXAMINATION Written exam 6.0 credits Group projects 1.5 credits In case of few students, alternative forms of examination may be used.
