PREREQUISITES


COURSE AIM
The aim of the course is to provide advanced knowledge in the theory area of decision-making behaviour in finance and investment.

CONTENTS
The course treats decision-making from both company and financier perspectives. The decision-making concerns financial decision where usage of information is in focus. How companies choose to finance their business and how they create opportunities to access financing, and how the financial market judge the company under influence of uncertainty, are areas of discussion. The financiers are represented by e.g. stockholders (financial analysts), venture-capital companies, business angels and banks. Connections between research and practical work are made out of different levels; single decision-makers, group/organization and market. The discussion will also concern rational and irrational actions.
