TIMEPERIOD: Q2 LANGUAGE:Swedish EXAMINER Birgitta Spets Univ adj PREREQUISITES General entrance requirements and course admission requirements for teacher training COURSE AIM The aims of the course are that students: - acquire knowledge of demands and expectations that confront an upper secondary school teacher - gain insight into educational ledarchip and applied didactics - develop skills in the practical exercise of the teaching profession - adopt a scientific approach to learning and teaching role CONTENTS - Upper secondary school and the Swedish school system. Policy and procedure guidelines/ requirements. - The tasks and basic funktion of an upper secondary school teacher. Ethics and professional secrecy. Environmental and international perspectives in teaching. - Individual and group development in general and from a didactic perspective. - Educational leadership for subject teachers. - Research methodology related to the degree project. TEACHING The teaching will take the form of the lectures, seminars and problem-based group work. The groups will consist of representatives of different subject areas. The theoretical aspects of the course will be integrated with the practical training. The students will be required to carry out field studies in special education preparatory to theoretical aspects of the following course.
