PREREQUISITES
General entrance requirements and course admission requirements for teacher training.

COURSE AIM
The aims of the course are that the students:
- acquire knowledge of the assumed aims and values of comprehensive school,
and of the aims and working methods of infant school and the day-care for school-age
children
- acquire knowledge of the computerised society, use of computers and computer-aided
teaching
- acquire knowledge of teachers´ responsibility and obligation to observe professional
secrecy
- acquire knowledge of copyright and rules concerning duplication
- gain some knowledge of research at school and the concept of didactics

School and its instruments of control, school as a social institution and school as a place
of work.
To be a teacher.
The basics of research methodology and educational development work.
Preparations for the final degree projekt and of a research memorandum.
Responsibility and professional secrecy.
Copyright.
Introduction to didactics.

TEACHING
Theoretical studies and practical training will be integrated. The teaching practice gives five academic credits and will be carried out mainly in the 7th-9th form of comprehensive school. The teaching will take the form of lectures, lessons and seminars. The students will be required to write a research memorandum preparatory to the degree project.

EXAMINATION
Written and oral examination, individually and in group. Evaluation of work placement.
COURSE GRADE SCALE: pass/fail.
