PREREQUISITES
Business Adminstration C I with marketing focus or equivalent.
For T-sector students IEF001, IEM008 and IEM002 or equivalent.

COURSE AIM
The objective is to provide knowledge and understanding regarding the development of new industrial products and how they are commercialized.

CONTENTS
Industrial product development will be presented as a process supporting the business process of the company. The different phases of the process will be identified, and it will be discussed how they can be organized and managed as projects. The important role of R&D will be discussed, and examples will be given on how new technologies may be used as poweful competitive measures. Finally, the links with industrial marketing will be emphasized, not least with regard to how new customer values shall be explored commercially.

TEACHING
Lectures, project work with supervision.

EXAMINATION
Written test, project work and participation in compulsory events.
