TIMEPERIOD: Q1, Q2 LANGUAGE:Swedish EXAMINER Kenneth Awebro Univ lekt PREREQUISITES History B COURSE AIM The aim of the course is that the students should acquire specialized knowledge and proficiencies as well as an essential broaden ability to independent problem discussion and critical revision of the historical material of source. CONTENTS Item 1. Documentation and History Theory The students are in this item introduced to the most essential problems of the Historical Science, based on Science Theory and Social Theory. A short introduction in history of the Historical Science is also part of the item. The purpose is to give the students elementary knowledge about principles of archives order and about Library Science, Bibliography and more important series of sources as well as make them confidential with different principles of analysed form of sources. Practices in manuscripts reading is also part of the course. Item 2. Optional Course The item comprises a choice of one of the following courses. All the courses will not be given every term. a. History of Education b. History of Industry and Mining c. History of Military d. History of Lapps e. Woman History f. History of Demography i. The students can themselves, in consultation with the examiner, put together a course with a literature extent of 1300-1600 pages. Item 3. Paper Work A scientifical documented paper should be written during the course. The paper work as well as preparatory memo should be dealt with at the undergraduate research seminars. TEACHING The form of the teaching is seminar practices, lessons and group teaching as well as supervision. EXAMINATION The student gets the grade Distinction on the complete course if he has got Distinction on at least 12 p of the subdivisions of the course. COURSE GRADE SCALE: Fail, Pass, Distinction.
