PREREQUISITES
Basic Course in imperative programming.
COURSE AIM
The aim of the course is to give the student some insight into how programs and
computer systems should be designed so that the end-user perceives the system
as useful. After the course the student should be able to design the user interface
for simple systems as well as evaluate existing systems.
CONTENTS
Basics: human cognitive properties. Mental models. Models of human computer
interaction. Interaction styles: Command language, Forms-fills, Menus, Graphical
User Interfaces, Direct Manipulation. Sound. Speech. New interaction
techniques.
TEACHING
Consists of lectures and laboratory work.
EXAMINATION
Mandatory assignments and laboratory work.
