PREREQUISITES
Certification as a teacher, pre-school teacher, recreation instructor or other experience of educational activity.

COURSE AIM
To develop the use of media as a tool for teachers in the daily teaching.

CONTENTS
Children«s and young people«s mass media habits. Theories about the significance of communication and senses in learning. Basis in sound and picture production: sound, video, photo, computer. The picture in the teaching. Picture-language and picture-analysis. Script writing, making a film, editing and showing. Printed media in the teaching, e g papers. Certain study visits, e g paper, museum, advertising agency. Partly after the students«wishes.

TEACHING
Lectures, practical work, educational visits, homework.

EXAMINATION
The students will be graded on their written and oral examination, individual and in group.
COURSE GRADE SCALE: Fail, Pass.

Mediekunskap i skolan. Våldskildringsrådets skriftserie nr 1. Utöver ovanstående litteratur tillkommer litteratur om ca 1500 sidor, som väljs i samråd med undervisande lärare.
