COURSE AIM
The aim of the course is to : -give knowledge about development and group psychological relations, -give practical experiences of what happen in different development, learning and educational processes, -give knowledge about how to estimate and analyse children«s and young people«s development and learning from a comprehensive perspective of knowledge and proficiencies, -to give knowledge of issues of the school in the society, -to give knowledge of communicatve subjects as means of expression and a way to work on knowledge, conceptions and attidudes.

CONTENTS
Children«s development and living conditions in a multicultural society. Learning and pedagogical theories. Children«s and young people«s development. Thematic working procedures from the communicative subjects. The role of the teacher and its consequences for learning. Subject integration, theme and project work in the compulsory comprehensive school.

TEACHING
Theory is combined with teaching practice. The teaching practice is placed in grade 4-7 in the compulsory comprehensive school. The form of teaching is lectures, lessons and seminars. The scientific background of the Degree Project should be written in the course.

EXAMINATION
Oral and written examination. Written test in Development Psychology. Evaluation of the background of the Degree Project.
COURSE GRADE SCALE: Fail, Pass.
