COURSE AIM
Students should have knowledge, theoretical and practical, about school in society, about school governing and the role of the teacher. Students should have fundamental knowledge about * life at school * teacher-student work * how to meet students with different back-grounds * life and work in child care institutions * life and work in pre-schools * how to make observations * how to plan and evaluate Students should be able to * teach individuals and groups * analyse and discuss teaching methods * work with a wholeness perspective * stimulate progress in children«s work

CONTENTS
PHASE 1. Students practise in compulsory schools 4 weeks. They make observations and teach. Notes should be taken and reflected upon. The student has a mentor but can also join other teachers. PHASE 2. Students participate and make observations at pre-schools and child care institutions. Observations and reflections should be documented

TEACHING
Tutoring and classroom observations

EXAMINATION
A paper should be written about lessons held and observations made.
COURSE GRADE SCALE: Fail, Pass.
