COURSE AIM
The students should have knowledge about environmental issues, and technique in the everyday life, so that they in their vocational role can develop the activity for children in pre-scool and compulsory comprehensive school so that more experiments and practical practice are created.
The students should have knowledge about Sweden«s energy balance, advantages and disadvantages with different typs of energy and about future sources of energy.
The students should have knowledge about natural forces that cause eathquakes, volcanic eruptions, tides, hurricans and erosion. They should also have knowledege about local environmental issues and measure programmes and about regional environmental issues like water regultation, clear-filling and acidity. They should have knowledge about global environmental changes caused by the greenhouse effect, the thinness of ozon layer and athmosphere-polution.
CONTENTS
Energy provision and alternative energy.
Forces in nature and forces in man«s service.
Environmental issues in local, regional and global level.
An individual work and field studies.
TEACHING
Theoretical studies combined with experimental work.The individual work, including the field studies, should be focused on one of the items of the course or a theme.
EXAMINATION
The students will be graded on course literature and course assignements as well as on the individual work report.
COURSE GRADE SCALE: Fail, Pass.
