COURSE AIM
The students should have knowledge about nature and environment in the local community, climatology and geology, ecological relations, ecological systems and their perseverance, chemistry and everyday technique and also forestry , agriculture, fishing and reindeer breeding.
The students should work on and develop:
-an ecolocical approach as base on environmental consciousness.
The students should be able to plan, carry out and evaluate:
-a goal-directed activity where children«s conception of the world around us is the basis and the local culture makes the central means.
CONTENTS
The course comprises five days of industrial located field studies,two days in forestry and three days in agriculture with on night in the open air.
Winter ecology is carried out during the examination and supplementary week, for the studies in the autumn term, which falls in follwing spring term, in January. The course includs also teaching practice in pre-school. Some items are obligatory. One day of education in child accident care is also part of the course.
TEACHING
Lectures, lessons, seminars as well as practical assignments in pre-school activity.
EXAMINATION
Assessments of teaching practice, practice report, carried out assignments in the different subjects of the course and also oral/written examination of the course literature.
COURSE GRADE SCALE: Fail, Pass.
