PREREQUISITES
To have passed the courses: PÄP003 Role, Qualif. of the Recr. Instr. in School, School Age Child. PÄS003 Childhood and Adolecence from a Sociological Perspectiv.

COURSE AIM
The students should have knowledge about: -basic ecological relations -the man«s role in the ecosystem -forestry and agriculture -children«s and young people«s need of play and activities The students should work on: -and develop an ecological approach as base on environmental consciousness -their own attidudes and values to be able to reach a positive attitude to health care The students should be able to: -plan, carry out and evaluate a goal-directed activity where the local natural environment make the central means -utilize outdoor environment for games and sports, discoveries and adventures, relaxation and outdoor life

CONTENTS
The course is introduced with a theory part. Teaching practices are carried out in the practice area, both in the child group and in the local community. Teaching practice should make the basis of planning of the activity which the student should carry out during the teaching practice. The course includs 5 days of industrial located field studies with possible stop overnight and also practical work with domestic animals and forestry respectively. The field studies are completed with a methodical planning.

TEACHING
Lectures, lessons, laboratory work and seminars and also practical tasks in recreation activities

EXAMINATION
The students will be graded on assignment reports, practice report and course literature.
COURSE GRADE SCALE: Fail, Pass.
