PREREQUISITES
Analysis and linear algebra. Mechanics.

COURSE AIM
The course aims to give a survey of electromagnetic field theory, an understanding of circuit theory and an ability of solving simple problems in electricity.

CONTENTS
Static electric fields, steady electric currents, dielectric and conductors, quasistatic magnetic fields and magnetic materials, Faraday's law (3.5 ECTS). Resistance, capacitance and inductance, direct and alternating current circuits. (2.5 ETCS).

TEACHING
Lessons and laboratory work.

EXAMINATION
Written examination at the end of the course. The laboratory woork is mandatory.
