COURSE AIM
The course aims to develop an ability to analyse quantal systems.
CONTENTS
General relations for the absorption of light. Electromagnetic fields in dielectric materials. Atomic aspects of the laser. Electromagnetic properties of metals. Semiconductor components, diods, transistors, laserdiods, and CCD elements. Defects in crystals. Quantum chemestry. Superconductivity.
