COURSE AIM
The course purports to give basic knowledge about the interaction between humans, computers and work. The knowledge should be applicable in designing user interfaces and in evaluation of the usability of information systems.
CONTENTS
The course comprises two parts.
Part 1 Theory (7p)
An overview of Human Computer Interaction (HCI) research and application domains. Cognitive processes involved in HCI; memory, skill acquisition, mental models. Systems approach to HCI. Design methodology. Interface evaluation issues. Task analysis. Expert systems. Computerized Cooperative Work. Health issues in computerization.
Part 2. Project Work (3p)
Evalution of a specific information system
TEACHING
