TIMEPERIOD: LANGUAGE:Swedish EXAMINER Rune Westerlund Univ adj PREREQUISITES Japanese KSS018 or equivalent qualifications. COURSE AIM The aim of the course is to provide the students with in-depth knowledge of the Japanese language and to provide increased knowledge of the social conditions, history and cultural life in Japan. CONTENTS Written presentations - Learning kanji (100 ) and katakana. Translation from and into Japanese. Reading - Elementary texts with hiragana, katakana and kanji. Oral presentations - Conversations and simple speeches. Grammar. Cultural studies - The development of modern Japan (history from 1868), the constitution, religion and culture. TEACHING The greater part of the course will be in form of lessons requiring active participation. EXAMINATION Compulsory course assignments. At the end of the course there will be a written examination. The course will be graded as above. COURSE GRADE SCALE: Fail, 3, 4,5 ITEMS/CREDITS | |
