TIMEPERIOD: LANGUAGE:Swedish EXAMINER Bo Renberg Adj PREREQUISITES COURSE AIM The aim of the course is to: - increase awareness of the demands placed by different linguistic situations. - improve proficiency in making oral and written reports - provide knowledge about linguistic aids. CONTENTS The communication process. General language/non-fiction. The spoken and the written language. Preservation of the purity of the language and standardization of the language. Presentation techniques (2.25 credits) Technical reports (outlines, graphs and wording). Exercises in written presentation of various types; special emphasis placed on the review and design of manuals (3.75 credits). TEACHING The course consists of lessons, group exercises and individual assignments. Attendance for the course is compulsory. EXAMINATION Continuous assessment. Completion of assignments. The course will be graded as above. COURSE GRADE SCALE: Fail, Pass ITEMS/CREDITS | |
