COURSE AIM
The aims of the course are that the students acquire
- basic knowledge of maps
- knowledge of the processes that shape and change the landscape
- ability to work on and develop the use of the local community in teaching
- ability to plan and work out a place inventory as a model for studies of the local community

CONTENTS
Module 1: Geography
Basic knowledge of maps, their construction and fields of application
Physical geography
Weather, climate and seasons
The earth and the surface of the ground, natural processes and effects under the surface of the ground.

TEACHING
Lectures, lessons, seminars, study visits, excursions. The planning, realization and presentation of a "place inventory" is included in the course.

EXAMINATION
Written and oral examination, individually and in groups.
COURSE GRADE SCALE: Fail, Pass.
