PÄP051 Leadership within School and School-age Child Care 15.0 ECTS credits | |
TIMEPERIOD: Q3-Q4. LANGUAGE:Swedish EXAMINER PREREQUISITES Applicants must have completed the courses PÄS020, PÄP037, PÄS021 and PÄP042. COURSE AIM The aims of the course are that students: - acquire knowledge of the leadership within school and school-age child care - develop skills in organizing and carrying out development work - learn how to use and develop methods for handling of conflicts CONTENTS Leadership theories, the conditions and functions of leadership, male and female leadership Organizational theory Development work Group psychology/handling of conflicts "Development conversations" between teacher, parent and pupil/conversational methodology Fallow-up/evaluation Finances/planning of projects/management by objectives Questions of responsibility Administrative legislation The Occupational Safety and Health Act Ethics of working life and leadership TEACHING Lectures, lessons, seminars, group work, project work and work on practical placement. Theory and practice will be integrated. Planning, realization and evaluation of a project. The project work is to be focused on working life and leadership. The work placement period and assignment given during this period will be focused on the conditions and functions of leadership. EXAMINATION Written and oral examination, individually and in group.
