TIMEPERIOD: Q1 LANGUAGE:Swedish EXAMINER PREREQUISITES Applicants must have completed the course PÄN042. COURSE AIM The aims of the course are that the students acquire - knowledge of molecular biological and physiological conditions of the development of life on earth - knowledge of thermochemistry, electrochemistry and environmental chemistry - knowledge of the concepts of energy, energy production and its environmental consequences - such knowledge and values that lead to respect for everything that has life and understanding of how man influence the environment CONTENTS Photosynthesis The physiology of plants, animals and humans Genetics, genetic engineering and ethics Species studies (plants and animals) Thermochemistry, electrochemistry and their application Environmental chemistry The concept of energy and energy production TEACHING By the end of the fourth semester, there will be an introduction to species studies that will include excursions - among other things bird-watching. Lessons and lectures integrated with laboratory work and excursions. Compulsory attendance applies to all laboratory work and excursions. EXAMINATION COURSE GRADE SCALE: Fail, Pass. ITEMS/CREDITS | |
