PÄN033 Zoology in the Classroom 7.5 ECTS credits | |

TIMEPERIOD: Q4 LANGUAGE:English/Swedish EXAMINER PREREQUISITES Applicants must have completed the courses PÄN400, PÄN403, PÄN404 and PÄN405 or equivalent basic course in biology. COURSE AIM The aims of the course are that students: - acquire knowledge of the fundamentals of zoology, physiology and the anatomy of animals - acquire knowledge of the taxonomic classification and systematics of animals - learn how to keep and take care of animals in a teaching and laboratory environment - learn how to build and keep aquariums and terrariums - acquire knowledge of the keeping of animals for teaching purposes CONTENTS Zoophysiology, zooanatomy, systematics, practical keeping and care of animals. TEACHING Lectures, lessons, group work, laboratory work and study visits. EXAMINATION Written and oral examination, individually and in group. COURSE GRADE SCALE: Fail, Pass. ITEMS/CREDITS | |
