PREREQUISITES
IES636 and IES637 History A and B.

COURSE AIM
The aims of the course are that the students shall:
- aquire deeper knowledge and skills in history and develop an expanded ability to independently discuss and critically judge scientific literature and problems.
- improve their skills in using the Swedish language verbally and in writing.
- write a ten-credit paper.


CONTENTS
ITEM 1
Historiography and seminars dealing with historical topics of immediate interest.

ITEM 2
Optional course.
The students are required to take one of the courses listed below. At least three courses will be available.
- women´s history.
- the history of the Barents area.
- history of technology and industry.
- from 1945 to the present.
- enviromental history.

ITEM 3
Paper.
