COURSE AIM
The aims of the course are that students acquire
- basic knowledge of the different fields of the social sciences,
national economy and sociology
- ability to knowledge and methods of the different fields of the
social sciences
- ability to discuss and analyse social problems and political
issues
- knowledge of specific didactic issues relevant to public
and private administration



CONTENTS
ITEM 1. Theory and methods of social science.
Research traditions in the field of social science.
Research methods.
Sociological patterns

ITEM 2. Political thory and Swedish constitution.
Political theory, political ideologies and political parties.
Swedish constitution.

ITEM 3. Political system in a national and international
perspective.
Foreign constitution
Resources and questions about resoruces in different political systems
Political systems

ITEM 4. National economy.
The actors on the economic scene.
Private and public economy.
Economic planning, budgeting and follow-up.
Economic policy and social policy.


TEACHING
The teaching will consist of lessons, group practice, field studies and seminars.

EXAMINATION
Written and oral examination, individually and in groups.
