TIMEPERIOD: Q3 LANGUAGE:Swedish EXAMINER Per-Anders Akersten Adj prof PREREQUISITES Mathematical statistics according to any one of IEK001, IEK003, IEK005, IEK007, IEK010, IEK011 or IEK020, or corresponding course. COURSE AIM To provide general knowledge of concepts, techniques and tools, and strategies within the area of dependability and maintenance. CONTENTS General introduction, the maintenance concept, maintenance costs, dependability concepts. Failure definitions, dependability issues in design. Reliability, maintainability, and maintenance support. Analysis of life-length data. Exponential and Weibull distributions, trend tests. Failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA). Human reliability. Reliability centred maintenance (RCM), Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Life cycle costing. Condition monitoring: tools, techniques and strategies.
