TIMEPERIOD: Q IV LANGUAGE:English/Swedish EXAMINER Maria Jansson Univ adj PREREQUISITES Grade Pass in Systems Science A, or equivalent courses to be approved by the examiner. COURSE AIM The aim of the course is to give the student understanding and knowledge of: - how business-activities, information-need, information systems (IS) and intormation technology (IT) are related to each other in an organisation, and the importance of taking these relations into account when designing an information system - how an IS affects the organization, and particularly the organisation's structure, processes, strategies and culture - how an IS ought to be designed, considering the above, in order to support and facilitate the business-activities CONTENTS The course includes: - differences between IS and IT - different kinds of methods and methodologies for systems design - different kinds of organisational structures, processes and cultures TEACHING Lectures, parts of the course may be given in English EXAMINATION Report and written exam COURSE GRADE SCALE: U, G, VG ITEMS/CREDITS | |
