TIMEPERIOD: Quarter I LANGUAGE:English/Swedish EXAMINER Jerker Delsing Prof PREREQUISITES SME054 Measurement and Instrumentation COURSE AIM The aim of the course is to develop a critical view of measurements in general and their reliability with respect to the environment has on the measuring devices. With a systematic error analysis and the introduction of dynamics and installation effects, the reliability of a measurement can be clearly stated and improved. CONTENTS The Course will cover the following aspects of measurement technology: -Measurement methodology -Standards, Calibration and trackability -Statistical analysis of measurement data -Error sources and their suppressing -Miniproject in connection with course contense and some research project TEACHING Teaching will be given as lectures, seminars, laboration and a compulsory analysis and design task.
