COURSE AIM
The aim of the course is to deepen the student's understanding of the plasma physics relevant to our solar system.

CONTENTS
Collisionless shocks, plasma instabilities, the magnetohydrodynamics of the Sun, solar wind interactions with magnetised and non-magnetised planets, magnetospheric physics of the planets in our solar system, auroral physics, magnetospheric storms and substorms

TEACHING
Lectures, exercise classes and laboratory exercises.

EXAMINATION
Written exam and assignment report.
