TIMEPERIOD: Quarter I LANGUAGE:English EXAMINER J Hanaeus Prof PREREQUISITES COURSE AIM The aims are: - To give the student a deeper knowledge about physical, chemical and biological processes for water and wastewater treatment. - To give the student a knowledge about processes for sludge treatment.
The interest will be focused on treatment plants for more than 500 pe.
Wastewater treatment: Wastewater Characteristics, Screening, Sedimentation, Flotation, Chemical Precipitation, Biological treatment processes (including biological nutrient removal).
Laboratory lessons: Aeration, chemical precipitation, sedimentation.
Study visit: The wastewater treatment plant in Boden.
