TIMEPERIOD: Q I LANGUAGE:English/Swedish EXAMINER Derek Creaser Fo ass PREREQUISITES KMT007 COURSE AIM A continuation of KMT007 with the aim to enable the student to choose and dimension equipment for use in chemical process operations. It is also the purpose of the course to give the theoretical background for determining the operational mode, control and optimization of these processes. CONTENTS Reactor stability, nonideal reactors, coupling of reaction kinetics with physical transport processes with a focus on systems with heterogeneous catalysts, mass transfer and reaction kinetics in multiphase systems, a project assignment. TEACHING The course is presented in the form of lectures, tutorials and a major project assignment. The tutorials and the project assignment are compulsory. EXAMINATION Approved project assignment, tutorials and an approved written examination with differentiated grades. COURSE GRADE SCALE: U,3,4,5 ITEMS/CREDITS | |
