TIMEPERIOD: Q IV LANGUAGE:English EXAMINER Ture Lindbäck Univ lekt PREREQUISITES COURSE AIM CONTENTS The course is mostly experimental (around 70% of the time) with seminars related to specific aspects of the experimental work. The experimental work includes powder processing, shape forming, sintering and design with ceramics. The experimental work is changed from year to year, but always within the ceramic research of the division. One example of experimental work has been to produce a silicon nitride based cutting tool, to machine cast iron and compare the results with a similar commercial tool made by Sandvik. TEACHING EXAMINATION In the end of the course, the different groups will present their results for the whole group and the teachers. COURSE GRADE SCALE: ITEMS/CREDITS | |
