TIMEPERIOD: Q III LANGUAGE:Swedish EXAMINER H Engström 1 fo ing PREREQUISITES Basic knowledge about materials processing. COURSE AIM The course will give a basic understanding of modern, flexible laser manufacturing processes and manufacturing systems including basic knowledge of the design and function of industrial lasers. CONTENTS A overview of laser design and function. Beam propagation. Laser optics and beam focussing. Flexible laser manufacturing processes like cutting, welding, surface modification, drilling, marking etc. Laser manufacturing systems. TEACHING Lectures, exercises and project work. EXAMINATION Project and laboratory work to be presented by written reports and oral presentations. COURSE GRADE SCALE: U, G ITEMS/CREDITS | |
