TIMEPERIOD: Q IV LANGUAGE:Swedish EXAMINER Nils-Erik Molin Prof PREREQUISITES MTM070 Physical Optics COURSE AIM To get the student familiar with the foundations of modern optical measuring methods and to apply these methods in measurements. This course is identical to the second half of the course MTM033 in period IV. CONTENTS Period IV Treated in the lectures are subjects as: Photometry, Digital image processing, Fringe analysis, Other optical measuring methods and Construction of optical devices. Invited lectures are given on construction of optics and the use of optical metrology in industry. Demonstrations are given of High speed cameras, InfraRed (IR) cameras and Laser Doppler anemometry. A laboratory work is performed with Opto-sensors. A small project on construction of an optical system is also done. Areport is written foe each project. TEACHING The education consists of lessons, demonstrations and laboratory projects. Attendance at demonstrations and laboratory projects are compulsary. EXAMINATION Approved project reports.
