TIMEPERIOD: Q IV LANGUAGE:Swedish EXAMINER Mikael Sjödahl Univ lekt PREREQUISITES MTM070 Physical optics COURSE AIM To get the student familiar with the foundations of modern optical components and measuring methods and to apply these methods in measurements in combination with computers. CONTENTS Light sources and detectors, non-linear optics, optical waveguidens and fibers, digital image processing and fringe analysis. Demonstrations of high speed cameras, infrared photography, and laser doppler anemometry Laboration: Optic sensors, a small project on optical construction and a project work about some modern optical technique. Students following either of the courses MTM097 or MTM.98 Applied Mechanics for F/M, does the project work in connection with the large project. TEACHING Lectures, demonstrations, project work and laboratory work EXAMINATION The final grade is a combination of the grades at the hand-in problems, laboratory- and project reports.
