TIMEPERIOD: Q III and Q IV LANGUAGE:Swedish EXAMINER Mats Näsström Univ lekt PREREQUISITES MTM062 Solid Mechanics and Machine Elements COURSE AIM The course will give a basic knowledge in integrated product development and a wide insight in modern computer aided methods and tools for design and manufacturing of products. The student will learn to apply this knowledge, together with the knowledge in solid mechanics and machine elements, on a simple product. These results will be presented in a technical report. CONTENTS Design methodology (4%) Drafting (7%) Tolerances (8%) Basic computer knowledge (3%) Computer graphics and geometric modelling (5%) Computer aided analysis (4%) Manufacturing techniques (11%) CAD/CAM (8%) Project work (40%) TEACHING EXAMINATION Written examination at the end of the course, project work, laboratory work and compulsary excercises.
