PREREQUISITES
Analysis and linear algebra. Vector analysis.

COURSE AIM
The course aims to give:
- a survey of the notions of electromagnetic field theory,
- an ability of solving simple problems, chiefly such where symmetry and superposition can be used.

CONTENTS
Vector analysis. Static electric fields, dielectrics. Steady electric currents, conductors. Quasi-static magnetic fields, magnetic materials. Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction. Maxwell's equations.

TEACHING
Lessons.

EXAMINATION
Written examination at the end of the course. Mandatory home work.
