TIMEPERIOD: LANGUAGE:English EXAMINER Maria Udén Tekn dr PREREQUISITES Possess a bachelor's degree in science or 120 university points in the field of science or equivalent and have a good knowledge in English. COURSE AIM To introduce to theoretical background and practical use of "gender" as analytical tool for understanding the situation of women and men in work and society. CONTENTS History of the term "gender" as description of structural relations in society. Contemporary uses of sex/gender as analytical category for understanding work at different levels (macro-micro level). The area gender and technology is highlighted. TEACHING Lectures, exercises and discussion. EXAMINATION Poster presentations.
