TIMEPERIOD: LANGUAGE:English EXAMINER Meirion Hughes Univ adj PREREQUISITES General eligibility with at least grade 3 from a 3 year upper secondary school course programme. COURSE AIM The aim of the course is to improve the general English and the language skills of the students, as well as to strengthen and develop the students' ability to express themselves in a scientific manner, especially when writing financial texts, reports and summaries. CONTENTS The course consists of essay writing, business correspondence, translations and summaries of economic and scientific texts. Abstracts of economic reports and subject related exercises. Aspects of presentation techniques will be discussed when doing oral presentations and project reports. TEACHING Lectures, classes and compulsory exercises. EXAMINATION Written examination and compulsory assignments. COURSE GRADE SCALE: Fail, Pass, Passed with ITEMS/CREDITS | |
