TIMEPERIOD: Q 4 LANGUAGE:Swedish EXAMINER Leena Hamberg Univ adj PREREQUISITES To have passed the courses KSP026, KSP027 and KSP028 COURSE AIM The aim of the course is to provide the students with knowledge about the acquisition processes concerning reading and writing for children with different languages. CONTENTS - acquisition of reading skills and cognition - acquisition of reading and writing skills in the native language and in a second language - acquisition of reading and writing skills in Finnish TEACHING - lectures - group discussions - theme work on different methods and materials - educational visit to school of education and to teaching practice school in Uleåborg EXAMINATION The students will be graded on assignment reports.
